Wait For Your Love
OMYO
WE SAY
With over 1.5m combined streams, Oxfordshire songwriting duo Tom McCorkell and William Edwards, aka OMYO, have been building a growing fan base for their brand of grown-up pop. Their latest single, Wait For Your Love, is a powerfully emotive ballad that blends a luscious, modern pop aesthetic with rising choral elements and string instrumentation. Tastemaker support has come from Huw Stephens, Charlie Sloth and most recently Vevo, which playlisted the directorial debut music video from Will. Outside of songwriting, Tom and Will also happen to have successful careers in modelling too, with Will being featured in the new Reebok Classics campaign that launched this week. Their ties to the fashion industry have also helped them place their music for adverts with New Look, Accessorize and CIFF x Lulu Kennedy. After gaining attention in Germany recently, the duo will shortly be announcing a string dates over there and have just been confirmed for a Sofar Sounds session on 6 February before they return to London to play Surya on 9 March. Through hard work, creative vision and a knack for crafting exquisite pop music, OMYO are looking at a bright year ahead. For fans of Sam Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man.
