Drenched in soulful vibes with a weighty percussive backbone and infectious melody, You Left Me by London based soul singer Omahrose is something truly special. Taken from her upcoming AAMIR (Rihanna, David Guetta, Ne-Yo) produced EP, Edge PT.1 the track, lyrically, is a defiant message of independence that combines a classic British soul sound with modern R&B and downtempo tinges. Think Soul II Soul meets Badu, with the vocal narrativity of Frank Ocean thrown in for good measure. Tastemaker support has so far come from Wonderland Mag and London In Stereo with upcoming interview features in Clash Music and EZH. She is currently seeking label and publishing interest as well as a live agent after recently supporting Raye and selling out her headline London show at Archspace. An exciting new talent.
