Anglo-Italian singer-songwriter Olivia Sebastianelli earned acclaim from the likes of Fake DIY to the Guardian upon release of debut single Rose of Stone earlier this year, drawing comparisons with Bat For Lashes, The xx and Stevie Nicks, and conspicuously none with Katy Perry, a UK version of whom her former major label planned on marketing her as before she walked out of the deal aged seventeen. New track Perfect Getaway, produced by Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Young Guns) and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters), is accessible melodic pop from the leftfield, picked up by Radio 1's Huw Stephens as his BBC Introducing Tip of the Week and played on his show this Wednesday. Following a brace of headline shows in August and September, Olivia rejoins former touring partner Nina Nesbitt for 11 dates in October.
