With another quality song to add to her impressive list of releases, Norma Jean Martine is an artist we’ve supported for some time now. It all began when we featured her as an unsigned act in the Compass section of our weekly magazine. That eventually led to her signing a major label deal, and her recent debut album Only In My Mind picked up glowing reviews across the board. Now one of the standout tracks from it looks set to take her to deserved mainstream attention, and yesterday, Wonderland Magazine premiered the stylish black & white video, filmed on a cold winter’s night in Berlin. Her reputation as a live act continues to win her fans and critics alike. She’s back in session for Robert Elms at BBC London on January 11, the same day that she plays the first of two sold-out shows at Servant Jazz Quarters. Co-produced by Ed Harcourt and Danton Supple, the producer of Coldplay’s classsic album X&Y, it’ll get its radio premiere on Graham Norton’s Radio 2 show tomorrow morning (January 7). Soulful, retro-tinged and instantly addictive, we reckon it's her biggest and best to date.
