Things are really shifting up a gear now for Nick de la Hoyde, the 22-year-old Sydney-based musician and songwriter who first came to our attention in 2015 with the soulful pop track By My Side. After a few frustrating teen years in Barcelona, with aspirations to become a professional footballer, he found solace in music and began expressing his deep personal thoughts through his compositions. Now his career is gaining solid traction with 358,000 Instagram followers, 157,000 Facebook followers, 1.3 million streams in total on Spotify and over a million plays on his YouTube channel. Radio support in his native Australia has come from major outlets including Nova National and SCA’s Hit Network plus KIIS FM evening shows. MTV, Baeble, The Source, Just Jared, UPROXX, Mechanical Dummy, All Access, The Huffington Post and many more have featured him, and now this song has just cracked the Billboard Top 40 US Indicator Chart.
