Something or Nothing
Netherlands
WE SAY
We came across this hauntingly beautiful track by chance - talking to Netherlands' bass player Matt Bishop at a party. We were blown away by the heartbreaking bittersweet tones of Something or Nothing. Having only played two shows to date they have caught the attention of indie labels, who are asking to attend rehearsals. Old school friends from Southampton, Netherlands are managed by Exlovers' bassist Danny Blackman. He received an email from band frontman Jacob Scott, and at the time, Exlovers were in the studio with producer/engineer combo Jimmy Robertson and Demien Castellanos (Anna Calvi, Big Pink, Florence & The Machine, Exlovers). They were clearly impressed, leading to the first recording session, and producing this great track. Netherlands go back into the studio with Jimmy to finish their EP Places to Haunt in September.
London gigs: September 7, w/Big Deal at Tamesis Dock SE1, October 3, w/Hot Panda at Bull & Gate NW5
