Now we have to warn you before you hit play on today’s RotD, it’s a stonkingly addictive earworm from Danish trio Nelson Can. When it dropped into our inbox last week, we couldn’t stop pressing repeat again and again and again. Driven by an addictive bassline melody and thumping beat, I Wanna Be With You builds into this glorious, feel-good electro-indie banger with a disco air. It’s sublime, full of heady highs and dancefloor grooves. Taken from their forthcoming second album So Long Desire, which will be released at the end of the month, the track has already been added to Spotify’s New Music Friday (DK) and New Indie & Alt editorial playlists, while Denmark’s P6 and P3 radio stations have given it a spin too. It has yet to be played on UK radio, but we are sure it won’t be too long now, with the group having been played previously on both Radio 1 and 6Music. With just bass, drums and vocals Nelson Can can sure make one hell of an infectious banger. So if you haven’t press play yet, what are you waiting for.
