Heart Food For Hard Times

Drenched in laid back tones and feelgood vibes is this breezy, heartbreak-tinged number from Irish rapper NEALO. Written during lockdown over the course of a month, Heart Food For Hard Times sees him team up (remotely) with songwriter/producer Adam Garrett (INNRSPACE) and regular collaborator Uly, who provides some divine trumpet instrumentation on this reflective gem. Perfect for these warm summer months, the track received its first play on RTE 2FM on Wednesday and has since featured on Spotify UK’s New Music Friday playlist today (15 May). It’s a big departure for the Blanchardstown rapper from his earlier career in music as the vocalist of Irish hardcore punk band Frustration, but one that totally suits him. Later this year he will release his debut album on DFL, and one will be keeping an eye on.
