Nice To Meet You
Myles Smith
WE SAY
Kickstarting our Ones To Watch 2025 is rising singer-songwriter Myles Smith. It’s been a phenomenal year for the artist who signed to RCA in 2024, sold-out shows across the UK, Europe and North America and saw his single ‘Stargazing’ clock up over half a billion streams and worldwide renown. Hugely inspired by a broad range of music he listened to while growing up in Luton, including artists like Green Day, Ben Howard, Labrinth and UK rap, Myles began his journey by picking up an acoustic guitar and singing at open mic nights. Since then, his trajectory has been meteoric with a string of original releases, including ‘My Home’, the RotD-featured ‘Solo’, and of course, ‘Stargazing’. His blend of folk, Americana and pop has seen him receive massive support at DSPs and amass over 1bn combined streams, alongside support at Radio 1 (including Brit List) and BBC Introducing, where he was named Artist of the Year. Last week, he dropped his EP, ‘A Minute...’, which opens with this reflective and upbeat ode ‘Nice To Meet You’. With every new track, we are continually impressed with Myles’s songwriting craft and heartfelt lyrics, and in times like these, that reassuring vocal and joyous music is a soothing balm to help us navigate the topsy-turvy world around us. 2025 is only going to be bigger for this star-in-the-making, and with a support slot on Ed Sheeran's European tour next year, everything is aligning.
