Chest Of Dress Up
My Life As A Moth
WE SAY
Let us introduce you to east London-based Swedish alternative artist My Life As A Moth. Equally a poet as she is a musician, My Life as A Moth takes pride in her lyrics and approaches her music in an almost child-like quality. With Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Bat For Lashes), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Ben Christophers at the production helm, Chest Of Dress Up is four eccentric minutes of cascading keys and jangly guitars, interspersed with circus-like percussion. Lyrically, the track sees My Life As A Moth depicts scenarios of when we as people are not entirely honest with others, or ourselves. It’s an otherworldly yet bewitching experience that recalls the storytelling nature of Kate Bush and the avant-garde feel of Bowie. Watch the Natasha Arciniega directed music video here. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they have us hooked and excited to hear what’s next from this mysterious project.
