Seeing Red
MY BABY
WE SAY
MY BABY is a Netherlands-based trio whose album Shamanaid recently scored Top 10 chart success there. This multi-influenced gem from it combines roots and folk music with gospel, funk and the sounds of the Southern swamp to produce a heady cocktail that pounds along from the off but builds and builds with every verse. They completed a UK tour with Seasick Steve recently, who described them as his favourite blues band of the moment, and they’re set to play seven shows at Glastonbury across three days next weekend. The buzz is growing with support at radio from Paul Sexton (sitting in for Bob Harris) at Radio 2, Robert Elms at BBC London and Don Letts at 6 Music. Add to that top reviews from Q, The Sunday Express, Clash, Classic Rock Blues and several online tastemaker blogs. More festival appearances across the summer in Europe are scheduled alongside a full UK tour this autumn. Everything you've ever loved from music’s rich past heritage is distilled into one enticing blend here. Drink it in.
