WE SAY
'Minimally raw, yet strangely sophisticated' is how the Scissorkick blog accurately described this infectious, hypnotic piece of Kwaito (African dance). Warp Records signed this track outside of the UK and South Africa, but This Is Music (home to Simian Mobile Disco and Frankmusik, among others) are releasing it in the UK, along with Ashley Beedle's 'AfrikanZ on MarZ' mix on the B-side. Top marks to them for snapping up something so different and interesting. Evening radio support has already come from Zane Lowe, Gilles Petersen and Pete Tong on R1 and John Kennedy on XFM. The first UK press has come in the form of good pieces in the Guardian Guide and Times Online Track of the Day. JF
