Mpho

Parlophone/Wall of Sound

WE SAY

Mpho's first single on Parlophone/Wall of Sound is produced by Switch (MIA, Santogold), who uses the hook from Martha and the Muffins' classic Echo Beach to great effect. The remix package for the single features mixes by Armand Van Helden, Ocelot and Crazy Couzins. Her album Pop Art will be out in the autumn and features co-production and co-writes from a stellar cast including Switch, Future Cut and Rob Davis. This serves as a fine introduction to an interesting artist with more hits to follow. JF London gig: June 18 YOYO, Notting Hill Arts Club W11
