WE SAY
Darren and Greg are respectively Morrissey & Marshall. It’s three years since we first featured these Dublin lads on St. Patrick’s Day with the excellent song I’ve Got A Plan. That came from their debut album, and now we finally are about to see the follow-up We Rise this spring. And they’ve got big plans ahead to really establish themselves with this one. In the past they’ve toured with Sinead O’Connor, The Magic Numbers, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, and Damien Dempsey among others. Upcoming 2017 live performances include The Great Escape, Celtic Connections and Chris Evans’ huge CarFest event. There’s also an album launch show in London at The Camden Assembly on May 24. Produced by John Reynolds, this is a proper solid indie guitar anthem, stuffed with uplifting harmonies, harking back to the glory days of Britpop, when shiny bright tunes of this ilk jangled away on almost every radio station across the land. Times may have changed, but a broad core still yearn for music like this to cherish and feel good about today. It's impossible to resist. Roll on summer.
