Wet Faced + Ugly
Mood Bored
WE SAY
In November, we introduced you to Dutch band Mood Bored and their broody, grunge pop anthem, ‘All The Time’. Now back with their favourite track from their forthcoming EP, ‘Too Much’ (out 21 Feb), the trio deliver a haunting exploration of yearning and fragility. Released today (24 January), ‘Wet Faced & Ugly’ draws on classic grungey aesthetics and mixes them with a touch of early Radiohead-esque vibes and modern alternative sensibilities. It’s an absolute gem. Having seen their previous tracks garner praise and support from Clash, Fizzy Mag, Atwood Magazine and Apple Music (NMD NL), we are sure this stonking track will follow suit and sound great on 6 Music, Radio 1 specialist shows and Radio X. No plans for UK shows yet, but the band will head out on Dutch tour in March, having previously supported Wolf Alice, Sorry, and Bdrmm, as well as toured with Nations of Language. A band to monitor closely this year.
