Messiah
MONSTA
WE SAY
London-based, genre-busting three-piece MONSTA have been rising stars of EDM ever since debut single Holdin' On was released via OWSLA, the label founded by dubstep goliath Skrillex, whose own remix of the track with Nero stormed commercial and specialist radio, driving the EP to No. 1 on the UK and US iTunes electronic charts. Explosive follow-up Messiah, which sees producers Rocky & Rufio fomenting gospel and soul influences with bass drops and heavy breakbeats, all overlaid with the electrifying vocal of frontman Skaar, has been supported by Zane Lowe, Annie Mac (Hottest Record... for Zane), MistaJam, Sara Cox and Eddy Temple-Morris. Having toured relentlessly in Europe and the US with Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Knife Party and Swedish House Mafia, the band have a packed summer of festivals ahead of them, including Wireless, Global Gathering and Lollapalooza.
