Misty Miller is a 21-year-old from south London whose spunky guitar-edged pop is picking up countless fans, thanks to recent support slots with Jamie T and Fat White Family and a packed out show at Communion's Buskstock. Everyone who’s seen her can testify than she can cut it live as well as sounding great on record too and celeb fans include Jake Bugg, Kate Nash and Charli XCX. You’ll hear that smart, no-nonsense attitude shine through both lyrically and musically here. Recent press acclaim and features have come from Q, Elle, Clash, Crack and 405, plus there’s a Huw Stephens session being recorded at Radio 1 later this month, consolidating on her Hottest Record status there with both this and previous single Best Friend. She’s confirmed for Bestival and plays live in London again tonight (July 1), headlining the tastemaker New Shapes night at Notting Hill Arts Club. As we yearn for a new wave of feisty female stars to emerge like Chrissie Hynde and Debbie Harry did back in the day, Misty has the talent to lead a brand new charge.
