Miraa May ft. Stefflon Don
WE SAY
We’ve been big fans of Algerian-born, Tottenham-raised artist Miraa May since she dropped her Dark EP back in 2019. In 2020, we praised her single Woman Like Me and are now happy to feature this confident and sassy dose of female empowerment featuring Stefflon Don. Taken from her TBA forthcoming debut album, Big Woman is a stonking collaboration that sees Miraa’s fierce bars and lush vocals shine against Stefflon’s powerful rap verse over some slick production from Eyez. Watch the Jake Nava (Beyoncé, Kanye West) directed video here. Following its play as DJ Target’s Targo Embargo on 1Xtra last Wednesday, the track has since had spins on Radio 1, Kiss, and Capital Xtra. At DSPs, she featured as a cover star on Spotify’s Who We Be and Amazon’s +44 playlists, along with the track added to new release programming at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer. Online tastemaker support has come from GRM Daily, Euphoria, Wonderland and the Line of Best Fit, among others. Having collaborated with JME, Raye, Col3trane, and WSTRN, as well as written for Jorja Smith, Burna Boy and Mahalia & Rico Nasty, Big Woman once again showcases what a talent she is. 2022 is set for an exciting and successful year for Miraa May.
