Released last Friday (August 18), this soulful, upbeat track from London-based Mike Watson is a pure pop gem that deserves to be heard. Slickly produced with soaring orchestrations and boasting an emotive vocal, Lying For Love can easily sit between Troye Sivan and Justin Bieber on any streaming pop playlist or radio station. An accomplished guitarist, drummer and songwriter, Mike Watson is no stranger to success, having already enjoyed a No. 1 hit in Japan with his previous band, The United, which saw him tour Europe and Asia. Since then he has been working with the production teams behind Kaiser Chiefs, Little Mix and The Saturdays on his debut material, which he has extensively road-tested on support tours with Maroon 5 and Magic!. With support from MTV, celebrity fans in Anne-Marie & Martin Solveig (whom he covered) and a rapidly growing social media following, Mike has real potential to be the next big thing. His debut EP will be released in early 2018 and he is currently seeking label interest and a booking agent.
