Radio 1’s Track Of The Day today is this gloriously uplifting dance track from Paris-based DJ and producer Michael Calfan. Already Annie Mac has featured this in her #MostPlayed selections in both January and February, Pete Tong and Danny Howard have been big supporters on their respective shows on the station too and Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton have both shown some daytime love for it. All of this has helped it swiftly climb into the UK Shazam Future Hits Top 20 and spend eight consecutive weeks on their Top 200 to date. So, what’s making this stand out from the pack of other soulful house tracks that are around at the moment? Simple really - you can feel Calfan’s heart and passion in the music and that’s why it’s connecting across Europe. Blending numerous wonderful influences and imbued with a warm sunshine carnivalesque vibe throughout, it may still be five weeks away from UK release but we’re convinced this jubilant single is one of the best tracks of its kind around this spring.
