Hope On The Horizon

Winner of the BBC 2 Young Folk Award in 2009, Megan Henwood’s debut album Making Waves comes out later this year and Hope On The Horizon is the first single. Her album features guest appearances from an eclectic selection of contributors including Joe Brown, his daughter Sam, Steve Marriott’s daughter, singer Mollie as well as English national folk treasure Peter Knight of Steeleye Span, among others. As Hope On The Horizon shows, her folk background only serves to embellish a strong pop sensibility. Appearances at the Larmer Tree Festival, the Secret Garden Party, the Cambridge Folk Festival and more are lined up for Henwood this summer.
