Mayday! are a Miami outfit consisting of Plex Luthor (producer/keyboardist) and MC Bernbiz (MC/lyricist). Groundhog Day caused something of a stir in the US recently. Within two days of premiering the video on YouTube, it achieved over two million views, one of the fastest spreading videos the site had ever seen. The hit count led to coverage from New York Times, AOL and ABC, among others. The story of just how the video got to be distributed is outlined brilliantly in this New York Times article. This is just about to hit radio stateside, and the self-titled debut album is slated for a release in the US in September, but they are still available for Rest of World distribution and publishing.
