Marina And The Diamonds
WE SAY
We first featured Marina And The
Diamonds with the terrific Obsessions back in December last year. That single, and the Crown
Jewels EP (both released by Neon Gold) have set things up nicely for Atlantic/679's campaign
with this her first proper single ahead of an album next February. Everything we've heard so far
demonstrates an original and exciting artist with the songs to warrant the hype. It's Single of the
Week on Nihal's show (in for Nick Grimshaw) on Radio 1 and repeat plays have come from Fearne
Cotton, Huw Stephens and Jo Whiley with Jonathan Ross playing on Radio 2. The video for Mowgli’s
Road (which has had coverage from the likes of NME.com, Popjustice, Perez Hilton and Kanye West's
blog) is quite special too. JF.
