Back at the start of February, we introduced you to London-based singer/songwriter Maria Wilman and her beautifully accomplished single Dark Horse. Now back with this, her second single from her debut album, Dark Horse, Maria sings about the potential for growth and self-discovery by embracing the darkness within ourselves. Produced by Colin Elliot (Richard Hawley, Slow Club), Roll Your Soul is a potent release and has that lived-in quality, which bristles with the kind of archetypal rock ‘n’ roll swagger that made the Pretenders so compelling. With its urgent yet timeless appeal, the single deserves plays at Radio 2, 6 Music and Virgin Radio.
