I Was Broken
Marcus Foster
WE SAY
I Was Broken is a powerful folk-influenced love song, which is beautifully expressed by Marcus Foster's raspy vocal and emotional delivery. The track follows on from recent debut EP song, Shadows of the City, which received strong support on Radio 1 and Xfm. Marcus had two songs in the road movie Five Dollars a Day and also contributed Let Me Sign to the Twilight film soundtrack, which was sung by old school friend, Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Robert also recorded a version of I Was Broken himself, which has racked up over three million plays on YouTube. Produced by Ian Grimble (Siouxsie & The Banshees, The LA's, The Manic Street Preachers), Marcus' debut album, Nameless Path, is out the week after this moving single.
London gig: 12 October, Dingwalls NW1
