Proud Of Me (feat. Little Simz)

Last November we openly gushed about the smooth vocals and sublime sounds of Sober by rising R&B singer-songwriter Mahalia. The track has since gone onto amass over 14 million streams including a special Colors Berlin YouTube session that has now had over 7.1 million video views. Proud Of Me featuring Little Simz is her gorgeous follow up and upon release was featured in 19 Spotify New Music Friday playlists. Last week, her beautiful video shot in her hometown of Leicester was premiered by The Fader and has garnered further online tastemaker support from the likes of DIY, Clash, GRM Daily, Complex, and High Snobiety among others. Currently BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week, the Maths Times Joy produced song is a gorgeous mixture of gospel, soul, R&B, and hip-hop with Mahalia’s silky vocals and trademark open-hearted lyricism holding it all together sublimely. Having just finished supporting Jorja Smith on her tour, Mahalia is currently touring the UK and will be playing two sold-out Omeara dates this week (14 & 15 March) in London.
