WE SAY

We have been following north London singer Mae Muller since falling for her edgy R&B sounds of Jenny back in 2018. Now embarking on the next stage of her musical journey, she has dropped this honest and sublime moment of neo-soul tinged with soft jazz and R&B melodies. Written by Mae, David Pramik (Bebe Rexha, Machine Gun Kelly) and Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa, Ella Mai) about the role of a woman in a ‘one-way’ relationship, Therapist was quickly added to Spotify (7 NMF inc No.3 in the UK), Apple Music (New Music Daily & A List Pop), and Deezer editorial playlists since its release last Thursday (23 January). Watch the Chloe Victoria Hughes directed video here. Tastemaker praise for Mae has come from the likes of Nylon, Wonderland, Paper, Notion, and Clash, while radio support has come from Radio 1, 1Xtra, Beats 1 and Kiss Fresh, plus many more. Having played sold-out shows at Thousand Island and Colors, as well as playing to over 350,000 people supporting Little Mix on their 32 date tour, Mae will be performing a number of sold-out headline shows next month, including a London show at Heaven on 13 February. A sultry banger from an artist who is fast becoming a spokesperson for her generation.
