Premiered by Wonderland, ‘Ordinary’ is the latest track from rising alt-pop singer and songwriter Mackenzie Burke, aka Mackenzie. Having already caught the attention of Alyx Holcomber and Nels Hlyton on Radio 1’s Rock Show, along with BBC Introducing Berkshire and Amazing Radio (US/UK) for her previous singles, the Reading-based singer delivers a blast of pop-rock goodness in this her latest number. From the driving bass to the melodic and hypnotic verses, there is much to like about ‘Ordinary’ but, for us, it’s the hooky chorus that makes this stand out. It’s perfect for pop-rock and uplifting contextual playlists at DSPs and also plays on specialist radio shows. Mackenzie is a bright new talent and one to keep an eye out on in 2023.
