With over 15m streams to date for her first few self-releases, London-based singer-songwriter and producer Francesca Bergami, aka Lyves, is an artist we have been keeping tabs on since we heard her beautiful and atmospheric debut EP, Like Water, last year. The EP garnered tastemaker acclaim from the likes of Complex, Pigeon & Planes, Clash, and MTV among others, which led to her being invited to support Coldplay on fifteen dates of their A Head Full of Dreams Tour last summer. Premiered by Notion and released last week, this gorgeous and emotive number is the second single from her brand new album project, 8 Rooms, which see Lyves release a song and accompanying cinematic visual every month until next January. Following last month’s sublime release, Still, the Lyves and Will Night produced Rest Your Head, deftly weaves ethereal instrumentation with soulful, yet melancholic tones to convey a sense of loss and this is perfectly captured in the Francesca Castelbuono directed video to stunning effect. Ambitious and artistic, Lyves is creating something special with her 8 Rooms project that will see her perform a special show at the Sebright Arms in London on 4 October.
