LYRA
WE SAY
Fresh off the back of the success of Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks (over 5k radio spins, with 1,700 in the UK, 33m global audience reach) and the Shane Codd remix of her track Lose My Mind, Cork native and RotD favourite Lyra returns with this ethereal-tinged dark pop ode. Written by Lyra about the pitfalls of social media and the pressures of authenticity, 29 Box sees the singer-songwriter showcase her powerhouse vocals against a slow-tempo sonic sound with clubby vibes woven within. Produced by Alex O’Keefe and mixed (with added production) by Ash Howes (Jack Savoretti, Ellie Goulding), the track is featured on new release programming at Spotify today. Already getting plays on Irish radio, we reckon this emotive number will build on the UK radio and club success of Edge Of Seventeen. Watch the video here. This summer, her music was featured in Love Island and saw her perform at numerous festivals, including Lollapalooza (Berlin), Connect and Electric Picnic. Next up, Lyra will be heading out on a headline Irish tour later this month before supporting Westlife on their Ireland and UK tour this winter.
