heartbreak hotel

Luna Morgenstern

self-release

WE SAY

Regular readers will know that for the past two years, we have raved about tracks Cologne-born artist, producer and innovator Luna Morgenstern. Having caught the attention of tastemakers The Line of Best Fit, The Independent, Clash, Wonderland, Dork and more, for her previous music, she is now back with her new EP, ‘heartbreak hotel’. Released last Friday (24 January) and produced alongside Dutch producer Nick Ribbens, the EP sees her fuse alt-pop heartbreak with late ’90s rave and early ’00s club influences. Having featured ‘miss u’ last October, the EP’s title track raises the bar once again with its crystalline vocals backed by throwback beats, warm synths and melancholic echoes. For those of you who enjoy the more left-of-centre electronic/dance pop then this EP and track is for you. This March, Luna will head out on a mini European tour, which includes a show at The Social in London on 18 March.
