WE SAY
This warm yet solemn alt-pop ode is the latest heart-achingly beautiful single from 22 year old Irish artist Lucy McWilliams. We’ve been big fans of the Dublin-born, Berlin-educated and London-based artist since we first featured her in 2020 and tipped her as an artist to watch at last year’s Great Escape festival. This time, she has completely outdone herself on the passionate and heartfelt Slow Dancing. With its haunting and timeless melodies and those so sublime vocals, hypnotising you into submission, it’s a track that would be perfect for syncs, but also any mellow pop playlists and plays at 6 Music and Radio 1. Early support has come from Irish press, alongside online support from Lefuturewave, Vanyaland and more. Later this month, she will headline The Social for Lemonade X Communion Showcase on 29 March and in July will support Two Door Cinema Club in Dublin. Top stuff.
