Good Girls Do Bad Things
Lucia & The Best Boys
WE SAY
Former RotD featured group Lucia have dropped this stunning '80s synth-infused banger to mark a new era and sound for the Glasgow band. Now called Lucia & The Best Boys with the addition of guitarist Conor Goldie, the four-piece have teamed up with producer Carlos De La Garza (Paramore, Wolf Alice, Best Coast) in LA for a blistering and infectious attack to the senses. Inspired by a toxic relationship, this empowering track sees Lucia Fairfull’s full-throttle vocals take centre stage amidst luscious guitar licks and synth hooks. Spotify added it to their New Music Friday UK, Indie List, Rock List and Hot New Bands editorial playlists, while the likes of the NME, the Line of Best Fit, DIY, Gigwise and many more have sung the track’s praises online. Radio support has come from Jack Saunders (Radio 1), Janice Forsyth (BBC Scotland) and Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio). You can watch Lucia ride a horse through Glasgow’s Barrowlands in the Stuart Alexander directed video here, and from yesterday, the track features on the new TV ad campaign for American fashion retailer Nasty Gal. With a new EP to come in the new year and shows to be announced, we can’t wait for 2020 to catch them live again and hear what’s next in this new era.
