WE SAY
The haunting falsetto vocal of 27-year-old singer-songwriter LUCA is something truly special to behold. His glorious debut single, Wales, is the perfect introduction to the Londoner who started to write his own music and play the guitar after hearing Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne. From its eerily compelling opening and soothing acoustic strumming, LUCA’s vocals drift effortlessly over the delicate instrumental arrangements giving the track an almost wintery feel. The Independent premiered the track earlier this week and with its mellow feel we can easily see this appearing on acoustic chill out playlists as well as adorning many more online sites to come. LUCA is currently recording and producing his debut album with Bristol based Dan Brown (Jerry Williams, Karin Park) and will be performing a secret gig for Sofar Sounds in London on 30 November. With his recent showcases at The Ned New Music Monday and The Groucho Club garnering some significant interest from publishers, agents and promoters expect to see and hear more from LUCA in 2018. For fans of Anohni, Fionn Regan and Leonard Cohen.
