Are You With Me
Lost Frequencies
WE SAY
21-year-old Belgian producer Felix de Laet is the man behind this Lost Frequencies track. Just three years after getting his first MacBook Pro, he’s potentially created one of 2015's biggest hits so far. Signed worldwide by Armada Music and released on their imprint The Bearded Man, it’s the No.1 pre-release tune on Shazam in the UK right now, ranked sixth overall here and No.11 worldwide. The song has already been No.1 in his native Belgium for five weeks as well as in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and Top 5 in France, Norway, Spain and The Netherlands. It’s a simple premise - take a 2012 album track by US country singer Easton Corbin, get it re-sung, give it a bit of a deep house remix in the style of Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’ mega hit last year and watch it fly. With almost 8m Soundcloud plays for the song and over 2m streams to date in the UK alone, it’s just been added to Radio 1’s C-list this week. UK remixes come from Cropper, Freejak, Calvo, 86 and Mandal & Forbes. This will be one of the defining hits of the summer, no question.
