Year Round Summer Of Love

We've had one eye on Tennessee-born Brooklynite LOLO ever since she surfaced on the blogs in early summer, the switch and swagger of Weapon For Saturday eventually peaking at no. 1 on Hype Machine. New track Year Round Summer Of Love has just done likewise for the third time, and radio now seems to be taking notice too, with plays from Fearne Cotton, Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe, MistaJam and Rob Da Bank, who has LOLO performing in session later this month. Hip-hop producer Mark Batson (Jay-Z, Eminem, Dr Dre) is a canny choice to showcase the 25 year-old's gutsy, soulful voice and lyrical braggadocio on forthcoming debut album Weapon For Saturday. LOLO's US profile received a welcome boost this summer with an appearance on Panic! At The Disco's hit Miss Jackson, also appearing in the video, now approaching 5m views. Catch LOLO live when she hits UK shores for a one-off London show in November.
