Seven Hours
Little May
WE SAY
There’s already a lot of love for Little May. The group from Sydney in Australia release their debut album For The Company on October 9, produced by Aaron Brooking Dessner from The National. After being championed by Huw Stephens at Radio 1 along with the teams at Xfm, 6 Music and Janice Long at Radio 2, we noticed even early-fan Fearne Cotton tweeting just yesterday about their beautiful song Boardwalks (the 2013 song which will be bonus track on the album). They’ve been big favourites on Hype Machine, with three No.1 places to date, and strong press and online support from The Sunday Times and Clash. They were critically-acclaimed after their sold-out London shows and gig at the Great Escape in the spring, and have played alongside Mumford & Sons, Alabama Shakes and The Flaming Lips in the US. Next, they’re back touring the UK around the album release, taking in Bush Hall on October 6. This is proper grown-up music; beautifully moody and wistful on one hand, yet equally powerful and absorbing at the same time. Welcome to your new obsession.
