The John Wayne
Little Green Cars
WE SAY
This superb debut from Ireland's finest new band has put them on the map as ones to watch for 2013. Little Green Cars have a busy 12 months ahead of them with their debut album Absolute Zero, produced by the prolific Markus Dravs (Bjork, Arcade Fire and most recently Mumford & Sons’ latest offering Babel), set for release and attention on them constantly growing. The John Wayne has established the Dublin band on radio with plays from Zane - including a 'Next Hype' - and further support across the station including Fearne Cotton, Phil Taggart and Annie Mac. Xfm, 6Music and Radio 2 have all been keen early adopters of the band too. They are already included in 2013 tips from the Independent on Sunday and Daily Star, in conjunction with the single featured on Line Of Best Fit's homepage, an official video exclusive on The FourOhFive, session offers and great coverage confirmed to run nearer to release. The young five-piece just returned from a triumphant debut tour in US – including mightily successful CMJ shows, which saw the likes of Brooklyn Vegan, Bonnaroo, KEXP and NY Times all feature them in their coverage as a standout band and definite tip for next year.
