Liam Finn, son of Crowded House's Neil Finn, has completed his solo debut album in New Zealand. Striking out solo from his band Betchadupa, he appeared at SXSW earlier this year and is opening as support for a reformed Crowded House. I'll Be Lightning is the album due for release later this year in Australia/NZ and US. This first single has gone to radio in NZ and Australia, faring well on Triple J among others. It showcases a knack for melody and also a skill in creating something refreshing and atmospheric in his genre. He is available for records in various territories. JF
