Let's Buy Happiness
WE SAY
Forming in early 2009, Let's Buy Happiness from Newcastle came together when 21 year-old Sarah Hall was asked to front her little brother’s band. The self-release of EP Not Hot Ashes at the end of last year earned them early support from Tom Robinson and Lauren Laverne on 6Music. They also played a Maida Vale live session as part of BBC’s Introducing Week. Invited to tour with bands such as The Temper Trap, Idlewild and The Futureheads, they most recently performed on the John Peel stage at this year’s Glastonbury. New single Six Wolves delivers more evidence of their compelling sound and a gorgeously delicate vocal from Hall. Tour dates and an album are planned, and an appearance at In The City next month is also confirmed. Watch the video.
