I Don’t Live Here Anymore

Leith

Big Trees /AWAL

WE SAY

We’ve been keeping an eye on Toronto-born singer-songwriter Leith since the release of her infectious 2021 debut single, Love Vibes – a gorgeous blend of crystalline synths and surging guitars. Having moved to London after studying at Berklee College to immerse herself in a new creative community, Leith worked with rising producer Jonah Summerfield on her debut EP Birthdays in July, which she released last year. The EP and singles from it, including Love Vibes, caught the attention of tastemakers like The Line Of Best Fit, Clash and Dork while also being heralded as one of Radio 1’s Future Artists and Spotify’s RADAR Canada featured artists. Now back with her first single of 2023, Leith plays homage to her time growing up in Toronto. Written while in LA, I Don’t Live Here Anymore is a beautifully wistful indie-pop number. Backed by a simple piano motif and lush production, the song featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and has been praised by online tastemakers. Next month, she will be supporting Sophie May at Omeara on 23 May, having spent the last year supporting Jade Bird and Matilda Mann on tour. One to watch.
