Le Youth feat. Dominique Young Unique
WE SAY
It's a brave man that takes on Cassie's unimprovably cool Me & You, but Le Youth's C O O L found myriad new layers of, well, cool on his dance reworking of the track last summer, picking up a Big Thing from Nick Grimshaw, making it onto the Radio 1 B-list, and selling 100k copies. Now Le Youth, aka Wes James, brings his magic touch to another R&B classic, this time TLC's No Scrubs, adding some breezy Californian vibes and drafting in US rapper Dominique Young Unique, who you might remember from DJ Fresh's ubiquitous Earthquake. Dance With Me is playlisted at Radio 1, Kiss Fresh and Capital Xtra, as well as a raft of music channels from MTV Dance to The Box, also picking up solid specialist plays at 1Xtra (Sarah Jane Crawford, MistaJam) and Kiss FM (Wideboys, Steve Smart). No brainer.
