Lover and a Fighter

WE SAY
We first introduced you to the world of German-American art-punk band Lawn Chair in April this year with their soaring blast of jangly rock in ‘Punkrock Band’. Since then, the band have released their Olaf Opal (The Notwist) produced EP ‘Eat The Beans and Wear The Jeans’, which caught the attention of Steve Lamacq and Emily Pilbeam at 6 Music and praise from online sites and blogs, including DIY. ‘Lover and a Fighter’ sees the band pay their respect to the ’80s with this guitar-soaked ode to hedonism. Full of hooks, synths and enough nostalgic call backs to be cool and fresh at the same time, this track has quickly become one of our current favourite rock tunes. Perfect for rock/alternative editorial playlists at DSPs and spins on Radio 1 and 6 Music specialist shows, ‘Lover And a Fighter’ is an indie rock banger. The band are currently touring Germany supporting Deadletter and are planning to bring their live show to the UK soon. We can’t wait.
