None Of My Friends
Last Lynx
WE SAY
As the end of the year draws closer, how about some dreamy indie pop from Stockholm to help restore much-needed sanity to your world? With our favourite of the four new tracks from their latest six-track EP, Rifts, Last Lynx continue to shine and we’re pretty confident they’ll gain a bunch of new converts here in the UK once folk hear this. They’ve already had three no.1 songs on Hype Machine, picked up great reviews from all the cool tastemaker blogs and press when they last played in London at the Hoxton Bar And Kitchen and can count Rob da Bank among their biggest supporters to date after he played several of the band’s tracks on Radio 1. There’s just something inherently magical about the way Swedes approach pop generally, often through almost innocent, child-like eyes. Do not be surprised if you keep going back to this on repeat over Christmas and into the new year, just for one more fix of loveliness.
