Smooth, haunting vocals, underpinned by dramatic brooding electro-synth beats were all that were needed to hook us into this deliciously dark and moody electro-pop gem from Galway-based singer-songwriter LAOISE. Following on from her critically acclaimed debut EP Halfway, which garnered online tastemaker praise from Wonderland, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Notion and Buzzfeed, Rich describes how a relationship was comprised by money and the negativity surrounding it. With half a million combined Spotify streams that includes her debut track You, which featured at No. 4 in the Spotify UK Viral 50, LAOISE is crafting her very own niche in the realm of sumptuous after-dark pop. In December she will be performing live at Ireland’s Other Voices event having previously performed at Forbidden Fruit Festival, Electric Picnic, 2000 Trees and Truck Festival.
