The Electric Love Letter

Langhorne Slim

Narnack

WE SAY

Often upbeat, always offbeat Langhorne Slim's debut is causing ripples of excitement outside of the expected country confinements. A Pennsylvanian now residing in Brooklyn, Langhorne Slim's blend of foot-stomping, speed-hillbilly, infused with a wonderful turn of lyric is worth getting excited over. The Electric Love Letter sounds like a classic in the making, cult or otherwise. The song has been described as sounding like a 'lost Bob Dylan record" and Slim's raw voice is worthy of comparison to Tom Waits. It's simple, understated and really really pretty. Buy his debut When The Sun's Gone Down for a feel-good grower that proves love can be banjo-shaped.
