Continuing with our Ones To Watch 2025 is London-based Palestinian and American artist Lana Lubany. She’s an artist we have been following since 2022 when we were enamoured by her blending of East meets West on the gorgeous alt-pop song ‘Snake’. Since then, she and her close collaborator and producer Ben Thomson have released her ‘THE HOLY LAND’ EP last year, and in October dropped the excellent ‘YAFA’ EP. Featuring ‘NAZARETH’ – a love letter to her birthplace – her latest EP continues to beautifully merge Arabic-inspired beats and Middle Eastern flair with echoes of Billie Eilish alt-pop sounds. Choosing to sing in both Arabic and English, Lana has quickly amassed a loyal following of fans, alongside a range of tastemaker support, including The Guardian, Fader, Grammy.com, Rolling Stone UK, Clash, NME, The Line of Best Fit, The Sunday Times and more. Her recent singles have seen radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Radio X and Apple Music 1, and has had editorial support on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Having previously supported The Last Dinner Party and Saint Levant, Lana has just completed a headline EU/UK tour. We love her take on pop and blend of Arabic influences, alongside captivating vocals and lyrics, making her one of our Ones To Watch 2025.
