'Summertime Sadness' Remix
Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais

Quite whether the Cedric Gervais remix of Lana Del Rey's Summertime Sadness will come close to the eye-watering YouTube tally of the original - 70 million and counting - remains to be seen, but either way it's notching up some big numbers of its own. A former Hype Machine no. 1, this euphoric reworking hit the top spot on Beatport a week after release, remaining there for six weeks and staying in the top 100 for four months. Radio 1 have now playlisted the track, breathing new life into a dancefloor hit that seemingly refuses to go away - the original even jumped back into the top 10 in Tuesday's midweeks. The pairing of Cedric with Lana is bearing more fruit too; he has also remixed Young & Beautiful - Lana's track from the movie The Great Gatsby - a radio rip of which has already attracted 300k views of its own. Something of a special relationship it seems.
