Kissing Undercover

In February, we introduced you to Buckinghamshire-born singer-songwriter Ladybyrd and her dramatic and haunting single, ‘Way Back Home’. Inspired by film scores and artists like Kate Bush, Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift, her music has caught the attention of Wonderland, BBC Introducing, Clash, Notion, Metal, The Line of Best Fit, Head Above The Clouds (June Cover), Sunday Times Culture (Breaking Act), and users across TikTok with over 1.7m views. Released last Friday (21 June), ‘Kissing Undercover’ captures the heartache and turmoil of a secret relationship and is the third single from her forthcoming debut album and was produced by Tom Fuller (Tom Walker, Dolores Forever, St. Lundi). With introspective lyrics and lush vocals, backed by hazy, guitar melodies and warm, cinematic pop tones, the song deserves additions to new pop and reflective playlists at DSPs and spins on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music. Watch the video here. Having performed at the Camden Club earlier this year, Ladybyrd is currently booking more live shows in London and across the UK to showcase her music. One to watch.
