So Sweet

Kyla La Grange

ioki

WE SAY

We’ve supported London-based Kyla La Grange since she was an unsigned act at the start of 2011 with debut track Walk Through Walls. Now comes her most confident pop nugget yet. Squelchy bass synths lines are layered with a melody that’s deliciously stuffed with hooks, and a chorus that’ll be your new favourite earworm for weeks to come. Essentially, it’s a bittersweet love song at heart, but delivered with electro throbs, pace and perkiness. It’s lovingly produced by Jakwob, who was also at the controls on Kyla’s international hit Cut Your Teeth. Recently, a Kygo remix of that song has been gathering momentum around the world, warming things up nicely ahead of the official release of this tune, and we’ve seen Popjustice and The Line Of Best Fit declaring love for the single in the past few days. Expect a lot more to follow. She plays her biggest headline gig to date on November 19 at Oval Space in London. If justice prevails, this track deserves to be her breakthrough Top 40 calling card.
